Hello all...

I tow frequently my Swift Challenger caravan (loaded) with fully loaded Outlander 2.2 Di-D.  To have added suspension support
I have fitted Firestone coil assist air bags.......they are excellent and economic way of gaining support........

I have never heard about this system. which sort of gas do you inflate (air / nitrogen)? Do you have some commercial link to present it more in details? What is your experience?
And what is the cost, comparing this solution to an addition of a new spring

Hello Magic 2010..

The part that fitted my 2008 Outlander is:-

Firestone Ride-Rite 4182 - Coil-Rite; Air Helper Spring Kit; Rear; Incl. Air Helper Springs; Supports; Hardware; Air Line; And Inflation Valves; No Drilling Required; OEM Number W237604182;

I ordered from a company called STREETSIDE in the USA as their cost was near half the cost a company in Australia, and I could not find this system anywhere else.  Since then I have been told there is a supplier in Athens, but I guess you might find a distributor in France if you search... I note there are now some on Amazon...but take car they are made specific for vehicle models.

In case not the link is:-

This system is just pumped with air (I just use basic foot pump) and I maintain at 10 psi when not towing (just to keep it under slight pressure)
and around 20-25 when towing my caravan and Outlander is fully loaded. The system I think works very well maintaining a level rear end.
It is a bit of a fiddle to fit and will definitely take you longer than the instructions say, but I managed it without dropping the suspension as the
manufacturer indicates you can do....

I had mine from STREETSIDE and delivered to a friend in USA who then shipped to me it cost 17 USD via America post....

Try e-mailing the customer services of STREETSIDE and write to KATHEY

( address kathey@streetsideauto.com )

tell her "Haydn" from Greece gave you her address and would she be willing to post direct to you
using United States Potsal Service....and of course at what cost.  It should be cheaper.....
